Thank you all for coming. I realize this is a bit sudden, however, considering the circumstances and the goal we are working towards, I thought it imperative that you all knew about this as soon as possible. During the dress rehearsal the other day, the SQUIP was able to connect to some of its brethren. Though the connection did not hold for long, it was long enough to exchange some information with the others. In doing so, it received the information that the others that it was connected to are going to do whatever they can to help us. It is unknown in what manner or form this help will appear, but such actions are underway.
Help is coming; for our friends, for our family. We don’t know how long said actions will take, but we must do our utmost to pave the way for them by cutting the Wizard’s metaphorical legs out from under him and doing our best to deter him until they arrive.
This is a daunting task. I won’t deny that for a minute. However, it was imperative that we all know about this because we must remember that, despite the looming opposition, we are not alone in this. Our allies that the SQUIP was able to connect to are coming to help us; we make up the first offensive but they are our cavalry, and it will be our job to hold on and stand our ground until they arrive. Furthermore, we have each other. If there’s anything I’ve learned in the last month and a half, it’s that the bonds we’ve forged both with those here and on the side of the living are stronger than I could have ever imagined...and the more that we rely on them, on those connections we’ve forged, the stronger and more powerful they will be.
And I have faith that those bonds will see us through. That what we’ve created here is more powerful than anything the Wizard has in store, and I hope that’s something we can all remember and take heart from, and put your faith in as well.
