the mark of those who cannot be saved
[You remember dying. Maybe the memory is clear and bright and your body still aches from the cause. Maybe it was fast enough that you didn't feel it and don't remember what you went through. But no matter how you went out, that's no excuse for truancy! Which is to say: you are still in the school.
For those executed, you will wake up in your beds. The dormitories look exactly as they did when you first arrived, without any of the changes or personal effects you and your dormmates might have made. The only real difference is that the little cot in Ambassador isn't there.
For those who were victims, you will wake where your body was discovered. All of your injuries are gone, and you feel fine. It's almost like you're still alive - but you remember what happened to you. It couldn't have just been a dream, could it?
The school looks much as you remember it, save perhaps for a few key differences. For one, there's no groundhog murals anywhere. Where things were green on the other side, like banners or paint, you'll find that here they're blood red.
The doors, for the moment, are still locked. Looks like even death couldn't free you.]

(( ooc: Welcome to deadland, everyone! It mostly resembles the school here, and new floors will be revealed after new people die. For example, the second area will unlock after the week 3 dead arrive, and so on. Also, all dead characters will wake up at their actual canonpoint, with all lost memories restored. As I was saying, since this is a big deal, I figured we should go all out, so, ah...
[And he'll snap his fingers, so the little project he's been working on can appear. Which would be a dark garment... well, dark on first inspection.
It's a coat, long of course, with at first only a subtle shimmer before the light catches it and it becomes more obvious that it's very glittery. Not randomly, though -- if Salieri looks carefully it's very much looking like a starry sky, with what seem like constellations and even galaxy swirl patterns in it. Like if you could wear the night sky.
The lining, meanwhile, being both purple and dark blue blending together in an almost nebula sort of look.]

It's a coat, long and dark and dramatic, but more to the point, it sparkles. And not in the way that Spongebob's Bedazzled ukulele did, but this is...this is more subtle, but not too much so. And Salieri finds he's staring, mouth open a bit in shock--and he takes a step closer]
Discord, what is...[he's reaching out to take a bit of the fabric in his hand, watching how the sparkles catches the light, and he realizes then the patterns it makes. The constellations, stars twinkling and glittering out from a dark sky, which also shifts and fluctuates into different shades, swirling in their patterns, beautiful and chaotic and perfect.
There's something tight in his throat and stinging his eyes and Salieri has to blink very rapidly as the coat starts to blur a bit. It's not like anything he's seen in the costume room, and Discord had a hard enough time making Salieri's beloved new baton with his powers, so that means....]
Discord, did you...did you make this? [his voice is a little hoarse, as he's really trying hard to keep some semblance of control right now as he runs a hand down one of the lapels]

[Now that it's out there, he's feeling more than a little self conscious about the whole thing. Making things manually isn't usually his style. He's done it before, certainly, but this project was a little much even then.
And he's been so busy with it, he hasn't even had time to worry about Salieri liking it yet. Until now, of course.]

It's a perfect fit. [it almost feels like he can hardly breathe, not due to any fitting problems, but more that now that he's got it on, he can feel the care and careful fitting that somehow went into this without him ever even trying it on before]

The whole coat is perfect. It's like nothing I've ever--it's just--[help him] I love it. [Salieri swallows, hard, trying to keep himself from crying too much again]
