and I know things now, many valuable things
[You remember dying. Maybe the memory is clear and bright and your body still aches from the cause. Maybe it was fast enough that you didn't feel it and don't remember what you went through. But no matter how you went out you're still trapped here.
When you open your eyes it might take you a minute to recognize your surroundings. It's your dressing room, that much is certain, but nothing is where you remember it. It's like everything has been picked up and moved to the other side of the room. The entire room has been perfectly mirrored from what it used to be and, upon leaving, it seems the rest of the opera house is just the same. If you remember one room being in the east wing, it's now in the west. If it was in the west, it's now in the east.
Welcome back to the Opera House, friends, you're not out of the woods yet.]
[ooc: Welcome to deadland, darlings! It's a perfectly mirrored version of the Opera House and each week, as new people die after new floors have been revealed, the stairwell doors will unlock and allow you to reach them. For example, week 3 victims will unlock floor 2 and so on and so forth. Also, all dead characters will wake up at their actual canon point.
Have fun because we have some fun things planned for you.]

...they got you from behind or something?

[She nods.]
It was, um, I think it was a crew member, but I don't know who.

[Wait.]
A lot bigger? What do you mean?
no subject
Wouldn't be surprised if they stuck around back there.

[A pause.]
And when you said you got killed by the Showrunner... Why?
no subject
[yes let's take that pause to not talk about jesus hoo boy that's still a sore spot]
The last vote was supposed to be unanimous, and those idiots couldn't get over admirin' the Showrunner long enough to let us all get out. Not even to save all our lives.
[He glances away. Apparently this is also a sore spot]
I gave her what she wanted so she'd let the others go.

Burr would've gotten everyone out who wanted - he was lawyerin' like crazy in there. But he never would've risked everyone's necks tryin' to drag out people who didn't want to go.
no subject
But - you said you're stuck here because they stayed? I don't get it.

But then you all started showing up.

[Actually—]
...Can I ask you something?

[this man is from BIBLICAL TIMES NATALIE]
Yeah, that crazy woman Squeaky had a gun she was always wavin' around. Guess Burr had one too, but...

[A small pause.]
...I got killed by someone named Squeaky. Typical.
no subject
...no offense if you're part of that whole thing. [Christianity is weird]
no subject
...Weren't you one of the people that used to follow him around, though?
no subject
[He makes a frustrated noise, turning away.]
I don't know. I don't know if even he had it all under control. Guess I'll never really know now.

...you don't understand. A group of people that big, talkin' about how some guy's gonna be King of the Jews? That kind of thing gets Roman attention. And that's a good way to get everyone involved killed. All we needed to do was keep our heads down and cut it out with the whole cult of personality, and maybe -
[.......]
- heh. Whatever, you know how that went.

[You?]

Let's go find the rest of your people. They'll be missing you. What's your name anyway, kid?
[Sorry, you must be at least a Level Five Friend to unlock that particular Tragic Backstory]
