[You remember dying. Maybe the memory is clear and bright and your body still aches from the cause. Maybe it was fast enough that you didn't feel it and don't remember what you went through. But no matter how you went out you're still trapped here.

When you open your eyes it might take you a minute to recognize your surroundings. For the executed, it's your dressing room. For the victims, you startle awake in the place your body was discovered. But no matter where you are nothing is where you remember it. It's like everything has been picked up and moved to the other side of the room. The entire room has been perfectly mirrored from what it used to be and, upon leaving, it seems the rest of the opera house is just the same. If you remember one room being in the east wing, it's now in the west. If it was in the west, it's now in the east.


Welcome back to the Opera House, friends. Even in death you're still in the woods.]

So lights flickering, spooky messages on mirrors, stuff like that?

Exactly! [He throws a friendly arm around her shoulder and oof, he smells pretty bad.] You got it in one, Sig! I've been trying to teach Evan how to move things since you guys showed up but he's, uuuuhhhh...nooooooot veeeeeerrryyy goooooood aaaat it. Nailed it. Most he's managed to do so far is knock over Mister What's New Pussycat that one time.

Hey, be nice to Evan, I'm sure he's trying his best. Isn't that right, Ev?

[Evan squeaks.]

Uh, I - I guess?

[he tries his best at some things, alright!]

[Sigyn removes Beetlejuice's arm from her shoulder as one might pick up a dirty tissue]

Don't call me 'Sig' [You don't know her like that]

That's...honestly promising.

You know what? Fair. [He holds up his hands in surrender and steps back, instead leaning against Evan with casual familiarity.] We'll keep workin' on it, bud. In no time we'll have you pulling off your head, setting it on fire and tossing it at randos!

But first! Lesson one: possession.

[Richard's eyebrows arch up. He seems uncertain, glancing at the others again like "are you hearing this?"]

Possess... our friends?

Won't that hurt them?

Nah, not physically. Worst comes to worst they fight you and you end up walking them into the fountain.

Oh purpose or by accident?

To possess someone you gotta have intent to possess. Anything you do with it, you're in control. With you guys though, eeehhh, you'd probably only be able to do it for a few minutes at a time.

Or as long as it's funny, whichever takes prescient.

Hm... Well, I suppose it couldn't hurt to learn...

[He rubs his hands together.]

Where do we start?

[BJ grins.]

With a demonstration! [He runs his hands together, considering his options before finally settling on an idea and making his way toward Nana's room.]

A little transparency: time gets weird when you're dead, especially here. When you catch glimpses of the living, sometimes they're days ahead or you just hear their voices and it's something from yesterday. It's a mess. But!

[He opens the door to Nana's room and jazz hands at the bed, where they'll see a ghostly apparition of Nana herself lightly napping on top of her blankets.]

Sometimes, if you focus real hard, you can see them.

[Richard follows the Juice curiously, watching him with interest.

He gets excited when he sees Nana, though, and moves forward.]

Nana! Wake up, it's us!

[He reaches out to touch her shoulder, but passes right through her, and frowns.]
