now let's skip the tears and start on the whole-

[You remember dying. Maybe the memory is clear and bright and your body still aches from the cause. Maybe it was fast enough that you didn't feel it and don't remember what you went through. But no matter how you went out you're still trapped here.

When you open your eyes it might take you a minute to recognize your surroundings. For the executed, it's your dressing room. For the victims, you startle awake in the place your body was discovered. But no matter where you are nothing is where you remember it. It's like everything has been picked up and moved to the other side of the room. The entire room has been perfectly mirrored from what it used to be and, upon leaving, it seems the rest of the opera house is just the same. If you remember one room being in the east wing, it's now in the west. If it was in the west, it's now in the east.

Welcome back to the Opera House, friends. Even in death you're still in the woods.]

WEEK 1 | WEEK 2 | WEEK 3 | WEEK 4 | WEEK 5

[ooc: Welcome to deadland, darlings! It's a perfectly mirrored version of the Opera House and each week, as new people die after new floors have been revealed, the stairwell doors will unlock and allow you to reach them. For example, week 3 victims will unlock floor 2 and so on and so forth. Also, all dead characters will wake up at their actual canon point.

Have fun because we have some fun things planned for you.]

[She grimaces. This is not her beautiful Angus.]

We're having a meeting later to try to contact the living. All hands on deck.

As in haunting them? I tried that already.

...Or do you have an actual idea of what to do?

Trying to communicate with them. If there is something we can do to help them escape, we owe it to them.

And them getting out might break this place's hold on us as well.

[She's just so tired]
mcfife: (🔪 feel it burn tonight)

[What do I care for their escape. The thought brings him no joy and he ignores the first plea. The possibility of his escape sparks some interest.]

So what do tell them? Any plans that they must be part of?
reassuranceandrevolution: (Fallen and imprisoned)

The basics so far: we're here, we can communicate with them on a limited basis. There may be things we can do on our side that they can't, or information we need to pass on later. Even if there isn't we're stronger together.

[...

He wishes he could believe they could be strong by allowing the living to take charge.]

Very well. I am curious why you would ask me considering my reputation.

Possession is tiring. We want to get as much information conveyed as possible, so we're going to need everyone chipping in.

I'm hoping that there's still something of the real Angus in you to not try to fuck this up for us.

How many times must I tell this to you? I'm still Angus. [In all of his impulsive glory.] Only more willing to do what is needed.

If anything, I have to remind Christine to stop thinking this is something reversible.

[That stings, but she doesn't let it show. Watching the trial, she had hoped that perhaps death would release the knife's hold on him; that if he had to die, maybe his soul could at least be returned to normal.]

That's a shame. I was really missing my friend.
mcfife: (🔪 bring me to the holy raging power)

[personal profile] mcfife 2020-07-28 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's a terrible thing to feel. I can't believe I willingly dealt with it for two weeks.

At least I'm less useless like this.
reassuranceandrevolution: (Fenrir never bowed)

[Sigyn is not, by nature, a violent woman. This may come as a shock, seeing as she straight up stabbed a guy, but she does prefer to work out conflicts verbally, rather than with violence. When she does resort to violence, it is often methodical and well planned out. But the Opera House is a special, stressful place, that has created two notable exceptions to this rule. The first was when she stabbed Jonny.

And the second is her pivoting in place and hitting Angus in the jaw so hard he might just fall out of his chair if he isn't braced well enough.]

[Angus knows violence. He spent years training to defend his kingdom. His duty to protect what is his meant knowing that he will be injured at any point in battle. His final moments were in combat.

But that doesn't mean that he expects a sucker punch while he gloating to himself. He's knocked into the floor and immediately sits up, cradling his jaw.]

What are you doing? I thought you wanted my help! [Kill her.]
reassuranceandrevolution: (Fenrir calls)

[personal profile] reassuranceandrevolution 2020-07-28 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Just because we need your help doesn't mean I have to stand here and take your shit. [Sigyn is breathing heavily, face flush with anger. For a second it almost looks like she might go in for another hit. She isn't sure if the two weeks he "dealt with" were the two weeks she was alive or the two weeks between their executions. Right now she isn't really sure which would be worse.]

Watch your mouth when you talk about the man you use to be, he was my friend.

[She turns on a heel and walks to the door.]

Come to the meeting or don't. I don't give a fuck.
