MEETING: TUESDAY, WEEK 4

[Hello and welcome to the cafeteria. Salieri has set up one of the tables with some sandwiches and water, as well as papers and pencils. Once everyone is settled, Salieri stands. He’s conferred with the SQUIP on the purpose of this meeting, and so clears his throat. It’s a much smaller crowd, but perhaps, with the right amount of push, they can still make a difference.]

Good afternoon. Thank you all for coming. I have discussed today’s topics with the SQUIP, and have organized them by topic, so that we may be sure to address all areas.

Mmhm, the Drowsy Chaperone. Guy's a real stickler for rules that one. [She keeps scribbling, continuing with "Pippin x how many since 1972? - Not likely".] A lot of us don't have proper names in our scripts, you'll find.

It's because most of the time we're less people and more storytellers. We're needed to engage the audience directly and sometimes give the story a little nudge when it needs it.

They don't really like it when you talk about it that way.

[Though he isn't exactly disagreeing. Certainly there's no heat behind his words - whatever spark he had seems to have faded for the moment.]

Yeah, neither of us do.

[You've heard him talk about it! The Balladeer doesn't know most of these people personally, but he does contribute:]

Burr and Judas got married, a couple years back. I doubt he'd be spending his time on this.
guardianofsplendor: (as we go along our way)

[personal profile] guardianofsplendor 2021-07-07 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Did they? Good for them, those crazy kids. I wonder if it'd be tacky to send a late anonymous wedding gift. [LP, you had burnt Judas's skeleton in a trunk-]

You killed one of them in a fire, in front of the other one.

[personal profile] guardianofsplendor 2021-07-07 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
One, he jumped into that firepit himself. And two, he got better.

[That's why it's anonymous, B.]

Okay, first of all, that's semantics. And second, I'm the one who made him better! You were just gonna leave him there!
guardianofsplendor: (to take by storm)

[personal profile] guardianofsplendor 2021-07-07 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
In my defense I sort of forgot he was there. [Like a jar of pickles in the back of your pantry.]

But it all worked out in the end! Happy endings all around, lessons learned about love and friendship, the evil is defeated and all that.

[And then that evil spent the past 5 years fixing what she broke.]

[The Balladeer sighs. The evil's defeated...]

...yeah. Sure.
