[Hello and welcome to the cafeteria. Salieri has set up one of the tables with some sandwiches and water, as well as papers and pencils. Once everyone is settled, Salieri stands. He’s conferred with the SQUIP on the purpose of this meeting, and so clears his throat. It’s a much smaller crowd, but perhaps, with the right amount of push, they can still make a difference.]

Good afternoon. Thank you all for coming. I have discussed today’s topics with the SQUIP, and have organized them by topic, so that we may be sure to address all areas.

What do we know so far?

About the Wizard, about Hester, about our Situation in general?

We are only the latest in a series of plays. Another version of myself assisted in running a previous production, under the Wizard.

Another version of yourself? [hm?????] And how did that production end?

[It nods] Considering my experiences with humanity before such, I likely required minimal convincing. [Blandly stated] It was the production Nana had taken part of, and she mentioned that all had been revived once it was over.

We know that there is someone else pulling the Wizard's strings. He's spoken of whomever is controlling him. Additionally, during Varian's trial, the Wizard started singing about possible motivations, which seemed to be along the lines of the cost of his home and family. About cleaning up someone else's mess.

Hester, as well, told Peregrine of her own experience with the Wizard, and a train, and someplace called a Denny's. And she apparently wasn't able to answer all of Peregrine's questions--physically was unable to, and then fell ill. When I visited her later, she was still feverish and unwell, and I'm unsure as to why.

As for the carvings, they are all over the school, usually requests to be listened to. There were "x"s on five chairs in the choir room, though I am unsure if that has a meaning to it.

...He seems to want things to end, doesn't he? The Wizard. During that trial and... well, I got the same feeling in mine.

...he encouraged them to end it all in yours, as well? [he...hasn't really asked about the trial much. But that's...interesting.]

Hester's been to the Denny's?

Apparently? I don't know what this Denny's is, but I'm assuming you do?

She told Peregrine that she stepped off a train to this Denny's place, and she was the only one who found it strange. And then the Wizard started to do what she called "real magic," which was apparently a rather strange thing. When Peregrine asked for further clarification, specifically how she'd gotten from the Denny's to where she is now, she couldn't answer, and collapsed.

[ she’s awake again and listening to all this and the Hester stuff gives her pause. ]

Um… I don’t know if this is worth bringing up but…

Ba— I mean, Nana-senpai mentioned in her performance that she felt like she had been manipulated by the Wizard. Manipulated into thinking he cared about her. [ And maybe he actually did but who knows at this point. ] She even sung about projecting a fatherly image onto him…

It makes me wonder… hearing this stuff about Hester-san if she’s in a similar position…

That would not surprise me. Hester moved around a lot as a child, and has spoken to me about how she went through different foster homes. She told me about one foster father in particular she had that would take care of her when she got headaches.

Oh...most of you know this already, but...well, I said in the video that I'd be playing in the garden, if any of them wanted to try and connect. I don't really know that anything'll happen - it just seemed nice to try and be with them, if they wanted that.

[Truthfully, he doesn't expect anything to happen. But if they want him there, there he'll be.]
