[You remember dying. Maybe the memory is clear and bright and your body still aches from the cause. Maybe it was fast enough that you didn't feel it and don't remember what you went through. But no matter how you went out you're still trapped here.

When you open your eyes it might take you a minute to recognize your surroundings. It's your dressing room, that much is certain, but nothing is where you remember it. It's like everything has been picked up and moved to the other side of the room. The entire room has been perfectly mirrored from what it used to be and, upon leaving, it seems the rest of the opera house is just the same. If you remember one room being in the east wing, it's now in the west. If it was in the west, it's now in the east.

Welcome back to the Opera House, friends, you're not out of the woods yet.]





[ooc: Welcome to deadland, darlings! It's a perfectly mirrored version of the Opera House and each week, as new people die after new floors have been revealed, the stairwell doors will unlock and allow you to reach them. For example, week 3 victims will unlock floor 2 and so on and so forth. Also, all dead characters will wake up at their actual canon point.

[What is she even apologizing for? She's not certain, but the urge is there all the same. After all, her brother...]

[Hime finds the presence of mind to slowly put down the spatula and wordlessly turn off the stove. She stares for a moment.

And runs over to Natalie.]

Why are you dead too? They need you!

[That... actually manages to get a laugh out of her, a shocked and bitter noise.]

Nothing I ever tried to do for them worked, you know.

[Staying in pairs, trying to ruin the motive with the secrets... But that isn't as important to her as this next point.]

Hime, I... What happened with my brother, I - I'm sorry.

That wasn't even your fault, Natalie-san! I was the one who -- I promised Anna I'd protect you all, and I fell for the trap and the fake Heather and the box. I should know better after Axia! You had nothing to do with that!

[robitussin]

I guess. Just... It sucks.

[Everything sucks. Anyways.]

...Okay. [Hime bites her lip and looks down.] Do you want pancakes? They're for everyone.

I'm, um... Not really hungry. But, thanks.

Um... So, how is, uh, everyone?

Everything sucks! [whine] D-ne's been hating herself and I think she's allergic to hope, Javert-san is sad all the time, Hook-san showed up old and senile and still a jerk -- I think Astarte said he has, like, herpes or something? And I keep trying to find a good movie to watch and all I ever come across are the really stupid ones like that one about the Titanic with the bad Spanish and the rapping dog!

...I don't think I'm going to be any help with any of that. Sorry.

...There's a Titanic movie with a rapping dog?

Yeah! And then there's the one about the singing show fans or something, I couldn't even finish that one. It was horrible.

I didn't know which ones were good or not. D-ne got me to watch this one called Moulin Rouge, though, and at first it was really embarrassing and probably inappropriate, but then it was so sad!

I don't think I've ever seen it. What was it about?

There's this lady and she's the star of a cabaret and this poet guy falls in love with her, but this jealous creepy duke guy wants her for himself and he's paying to finance the show that's the only reason she can meet the nice guy in the first place, and then it turns out she's sick and dying anyway and-- [sniff] and it's really sad!

[robitussin]

...That sounds fucked up. Jesus.

[That sentence lacks her usual conviction, though.]

I know... Did you find any happy ones? That weren't also really bad like the Titanic one?

Okay. [She looks at the ruined pancake on the stove. Maybe it's still salvageable if she turns the flame back on.] ...Did you find anything else out about the Management? We know the original Showrunner was a woman, and she's probably still around, but...

[robitussin]

I found out you apparently don't have to even break a rule for them to fucking shoot you without warning, but that's about it.

[Yikes.]

They what? You mean they killed you and you didn't even do anything? That's terrible! What can we even do about that?

[robitussin]

It's not like they're going to execute a crew member. Just... Whatever.

Anyways - you were talking about the last Showrunner?

Um... we know she apparently likes to be in charge, and she'd never really let the Balladeer run anything, or at least that's what we heard. But I don't know anything else.

[robitussin]

...I'm worried about him.

[The Balladeer, that is.]

When I saw him last, he seemed really... Not okay.

[rockthistown]

You mean he's hurt? Or the Management started getting mad because he's so nice to everyone? He still scared me a little, but...

[robitussin]

I think he's been risking a lot, and... I think he's hurt. Not physically, but...
